“ extremely authentic and delicious mexican cuisine here. my gordita de camarones was excellent: the shrimp was seasoned well, the cheese perfectly abundant, and the shell super crispy. when you first arrive, the servers bring you free chips and an assortment of salsas, all very tasty and spicy. the staff are very nice and attentive. you can just feel the community here. there are plenty of tables and the restaurant is very spacious. there's a full bar area as well. i would come back a thousand times for this food. highly, highly recommend. ”

“ One of our favorites! We did takeout once & it was so good. We went in last time and they had 2 for one margs for $5!! Food was just as delicious! Everything always comes out hot, tasty and fresh. Servers are nice and it's always busy in there. ”

“ To the karen that said "small portions"... this torta is literally the size of my hand. 1st off, the staff is extremely welcoming and loving. 2nd, this torta (carbonicito) is the greatest combination of meat I've ever put in my mouth. With soft loving bread, avocado, pineapple, caramelized onion, and nopalitos gently nestled in your mouth hole for an exuberant experience making you want to come back for more. The reposado house margarita is abundantly smooth yet perfectly dosed to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy..if you have a chance, please buy the warm baked goods from the nice woman walking around the various businesses in the strip. For all you Karens, Jims, and James, maybe try Taco Bell or chipotle if you don't like the food. ”

“ I would have never known this place existed if it wasn't for yelp. It's back off Sheridan right near the W 6th Ave. I ordered a burrito and queso to go. They gave me an estimate of 15-20 minutes for the food to be ready. When I walked in they had a decent amount of people in the restaurant for a late lunch. I was greeted promptly and the server was very friendly. I got there roughly 15 min after riding and my food was ready to go. She gave me extra hot sauces without me even asking and held the door open for me since I was on a crutch. The burrito was really good! I'd definitely get another from here. The queso was meh. When I got home it had solidified and I wasn't really happy with the reheated queso. I'm sure if you go sit down it would be better fresh. I'll definitely be giving this place a shot again this time sitting inside as it seems very authentic. ”

“ Los Carboncitos became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver a few years ago & they still haven't let me down! Amazing flavor, good heat & great service. Located a couple miles outside downtown Denver off 6th & Sheridan, this location is a hidden gem in an unbecoming little stretch of businesses with ample parking. They do great takeout, but dining in is even better! The food is outta this world - so authentic & full of flavor! The chips and salsa are complimentary & so fresh, the salsa has a kick! They also bring out 4 housemade hot salsas too, I love them!! Their tacos are simple & delicious, your choice of protein on homemade corn tortillas topped with onions & cilantro. I love the carnitas, chorizo, carne asada & pollo. Their enchiladas are sooo good bc they're not smothered with too much sauce or cheese, and they grill the corn tortillas before rolling the enchiladas so it has a great grill flavor! You can get half green & half red too, yum. All in all, this Los Carboncitos spot is easily my favorite & I hope you find your way there soon bc it's incredible.. don't limit yourself to Taco Tuesday bc the tacos every day at Los Carboncitos are fire! ”

“ Los Carboncitos is one of Denver's best Mexican restaurants hands down! You will never walk into this place and find it empty, and if you do give it 10 minutes and it will be packed. It's not a fancy restaurant by any means and isn't decorated to be trendy they care more about the quality of food, but I do love all the Frida Khalo paintings. The food and service are always great here and you will never leave unsatisfied. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is when they bring out their salsa and chips, they not only bring out the main salsa but also 4 other ones as well. Salsa is my addiction so this makes me very happy, and the salsas are all delicious and have great heat to them. My favorite dish here is the burrito de lengua (cow tongue), although anything on their menu is delicious. My wife always orders the huaraches and those are fantastic!! If you are looking for some amazing authentic Mexican food look no further than Los Carboncitos! ”
